The most exciting game of round 12 in the CIBACOPA took place in Hermosillo. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengersRayos de Hermosillo (10-5) to second ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (12-3) 87-85 in the game for the second place. American guard Jimond Ivey (196-1996, college: Akron) replied with 24 points and 7 assists and Canadian forward Tyrrel Tate (196-1992, college: Fayetteville St.) added 26 points in the effort for Hermosillo. Tijuana Zonkeys have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-3 record behind leader Astros. Hermosillo lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Angeles.
