Regular Season Round 33: San Martin - Zarate 69-78

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 19th ranked San Martin's (4-24) home loss to eighteenth ranked Zarate (9-20) in Corrientes 69-78 on Sunday. Gino Sciamanna nailed 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and Joaquin Diaz accounted for 18 points. Four Zarate players scored in double figures. Geronimo Ramallo came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Joaquin Folmer added 16 points respectively for San Martin in the defeat. San Martin's coach Diego Blanco tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Zarate. Newly promoted Zarate maintains eighteenth place with 9-20 record. Loser San Martin keeps the nineteenth position with 24 games lost. Zarate will meet higher ranked La Union (#17) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. San Martin will have a break next round.
