Regular Season Round 12: San Isidro - Indigenas 71-61

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Matagalpa where 12th ranked Indigenas (7-8) were defeated by thirteenth ranked San Isidro (8-8) 71-61 on Sunday. San Isidro dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Indigenas' 32. San Isidro forced 23 Indigenas turnovers. The best player for the winners was Esmilder Rojas (187-1985) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international Dwight Real (-1997) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. Four San Isidro players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Johnston Huerta (-2001) who recorded 11 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Francisco Baltodano added 2 points and 15 rebounds respectively. Indigenas' coach tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. San Isidro moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Indigenas dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost.
