A very close game took place in Guasave betweenFrayles de Guasave and Pioneros Los Mochis . Ninth ranked Frayles de Guasave (5-15) got a very close home victory over 8th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (8-12). Frayles de Guasave managed to escape with a 2-point win 102-100 on Tuesday evening. Frayles dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Pioneros Los Mochis ' 32. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds. Point guard David Sloan (183-1999, college: ETSU) accounted for 24 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Guard Nigel Hawkins (193, college: SF Austin) came up with 37 points (!!!) (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) and power forward Raphiael Putney (207-1990, college: UMass) added 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks respectively for Los Mochis in the defeat. Five Frayles and four Los Mochis players scored in double figures. Frayles maintains ninth place with 5-15 record. Los Mochis lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost.
