Eighth-rankedBrujos (2-8) made lots of trouble for third ranked Metapan (8-2) in Izalco. The visitors from Metapan managed to secure only two-point victory 92-90 . However their fans expected much easier game. Metapan players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks. American swingman Eddie Ishman (197-1986, college: Miles) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Metapan players scored in double figures. Dominican Eusebio Suero replied with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 16 rebounds and Alfonso Tobar (-2007) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Brujos. Brujos' coach Anibal Mendez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Metapan have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Santa Ana. Brujos lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Fantasmas.
