Santa Tecla 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to LMMR 2 's 28. Santa Tecla 2 forced 20 LMMR 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 52-37 including 19 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Melany Sanchez (167-2004) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized American guard Nia Caver (175-1999, college: B&S Buffalo) contributed with 8 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Monica Calderon (175-1991) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and Cuban point guard Dairis Tornell (176-1992) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for LMMR 2. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
