Rather expected game when 20th rankedOlimpico (3-26) was smashed by seventeenth ranked La Union (11-18) in La Banda 104-73 on Friday. La Union dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpico 's 30. They outrebounded Olimpico 50-29 including a 42-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. La Union looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by guard Franco Chir (190-2002) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and Franco Gimenez supported him with 24 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four La Union players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 5 rebounds by guard Ignacio Gonzalez (187-2003) did not help to save the game for Olimpico . Luciano Tundis added 16 points. Olimpico's coach Guillermo Aliende gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. La Union moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Platense. Olimpico lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games.
