An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Caguas. First rankedCriollos faced 4th ranked Aguada . Host Criollos (7-1) defeated guests from Aguada (3-6) 92-85 . They outrebounded Aguada 41-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. Caguas players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Panamanian-American center Akil Mitchell (206-1992, college: Virginia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!). American point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) contributed with 24 points and 6 assists for the winners. Criollos' coach Wilhelmus Caanen used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian-American center Chinanu Onuaku (207-1996, college: Louisville) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and the former international point guard Alexander Abreu (179-1991, college: UWG) added 14 points and 10 assists in the effort for Aguada. Four Aguada players scored in double figures. Criollos have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Caguas maintains first position with 7-1 record. Aguada lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with six games lost.
