The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Managua:Tipitapa (#2) and Jaguares (#3). Jaguares were crushed at home by 20 points 56-76 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Jaguares. Tipitapa dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Jaguares ' 26. They outrebounded Jaguares 54-30 including a 44-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international center Roger Munoz (208-1984, college: Trinity Valley) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Colombian center Chyse Webster (204-2000) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Elkin Romero (-2001) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and international Kevin Andino (186-2002) added 8 points in the effort for Jaguares. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tipitapa (18-1) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Brumas. Jaguares at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost.
