Regular Season Round 14: Salvadorenos - San Salvador 55-77

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from San Salvador:San Salvador (#2) and Salvadorenos (#4). Salvadorenos were smashed at home by 22 points 55-77 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Jeremy Agosto (177-1997) orchestrated the victory by scoring 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The other American import center Marc Montavious (206-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. Power forward Brayan Garcia (194-1998) replied with 17 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Marco Menjivar (168-2004) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Salvadorenos. Salvadorenos' coach Sergio Rouco gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. San Salvador (12-2) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Santa Ana. Salvadorenos at the other side keep the fourth place with six games lost.
