There was a minor upset when 6th rankedSanta Tecla (6-8) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Brujos (4-10) 86-80 . Brujos players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Dominican Eusebio Suero who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Teodoro Romero (202-1985) accounted for 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Five Brujos players scored in double figures. American swingman Andravious Smith (198-1995, college: Tougaloo) came up with 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Nicaraguan guard Deikel Sanchez (-1996) added 15 points and 21 rebounds respectively for Santa Tecla in the defeat. Brujos moved-up to seventh place, which they share with A.Lobos. Santa Tecla lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the sixth position with eight games lost.
