Regular Season Round 4: Carrib.Storm - Cimarrones 65-55

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Storm as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Storm defeated 3rd ranked Cimarrones in San Andres Island 65-55. Carrib.Storm dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Cimarrones' 18. Carrib.Storm forced 23 Cimarrones turnovers. The former international guard Romario Roque (175-1998) fired 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Panamanian Alejandro Grant (199-1993) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Storm's coach Jaime Ortiz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Chris Hamil (193-1998, college: UIS) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds and Julio Perez (186-2001) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Cimarrones at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Cimarrones will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Carrib.Storm will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Cimarrones in Quibdo-Choco.
