Regular Season Round 1: Freseras - Rojas 55-63

Very predictable result in Irapuato where Rojas beat Freseras 63-55 on Friday. Rojas forced 19 Freseras turnovers and outrebounded them 52-40 including 37 on the defensive glass. Rojas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Swingman Naomi Davenport (180, college: WVU) stepped up and scored 8 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and swingman Kaitlyn Davis (188-2001, college: USC) chipped in 12 points and 13 rebounds. At the losing side guard Sierra Moore (180-1994, college: Penn State) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and guard Jasmine Carson (178, college: LSU) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Rojas will meet at home Fuerza Regia in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Freseras will play against Panteras in Aguascalientes and hope to win that game.
