Regular Season Round 1: Freseras - Rojas 54-65

No shocking result in a game in Irapuato where Rojas defeated Freseras 65-54 on Saturday. Rojas outrebounded Freseras 48-37 including 36 on the defensive glass. American swingman Kaitlyn Davis (188-2001, college: USC) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and her fellow American import swingman Naomi Davenport (180, college: WVU) chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Sierra Moore (180-1994, college: Penn State) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and Argentinian forward Victoria Gauna (185-2001) scored 13 points. Rojas will meet at home Fuerza Regia in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Freseras will play against Panteras in Aguascalientes and hope to win that game.
