Regular Season Round 7: Bucaros - Corsarios 81-67

Bottom-ranked Corsarios (0-3) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 81-67 loss to sixth ranked Bucaros (2-1) in Bucaramanga. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-American power forward Gani Lawal (206-1988, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 15 rebounds. International power forward Sebastian Valencia (200-1997) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Jalen Brooks (196, college: LSUS, agency: Players Group) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import forward Cameron Burrell (201-2000, college: Lindenwood, agency: Players Group) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Corsarios. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bucaros moved-up to fourth place. Corsarios at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Bucaros will again play against Corsarios (#7) in Cartagena in the next round. Corsarios will have a break next round.
