LeaderGimnasia CR delivered the 31th victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 12th ranked Quimsa (16-18) 98-87 in Santiago del Estero. Gimnasia looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of Dominican swingman Angel Reyes (201-2002) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and point guard Martiniano Dato (188-2004) who added 15 points and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) during the contest. Four Gimnasia CR players scored in double figures. Guard Matias Pikaluk (185-2006) responded with 28 points and center Raymon Bastardo (202-2002) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Quimsa's coach Marcelo Zanni rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gimnasia maintains first position with 31-5 record. Quimsa lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with 18 games lost.
