Seventh-rankedCorsarios (7-16) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Bucaros (16-8) in Cartagena on Thursday. The visitors from Bucaramanga managed to secure only three-point victory 65-62 . However their fans expected easier game. Bucaros dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Corsarios ' 26. They outrebounded Corsarios 49-33 including a 41-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American power forward Gani Lawal (206-1988, college: Georgia Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. The former international center Cristian Arboleda (205-1992) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Bucaros' coach Jordan Barrios used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian point guard Nicolas Paletta (179-1987) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and American swingman RJ Gunn (201-1999, college: Duquesne, agency: Players Group) added 25 points respectively. Bucaros moved-up to second place, which they share with Titanes and Motilones. Corsarios lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 16 games lost.
