There was a small surprise when seventh rankedCorrecaminos (7-9) beat 4th placed Rojas (7-9) in Veracruz 64-56 . Correcaminos outrebounded Rojas 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. Guard Brittany Byrd (176-1997, college: UIC) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and guard Ciani Cryor (165-1997, college: Texas Southern) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Kaitlyn Davis (188-2001, college: USC) with 12 points and swingman Naomi Davenport (180, college: WVU) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. Rojas' coach Oswaldo Zermeno rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Correcaminos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rojas and Santas. Rojas lost fourth consecutive game.
