Very expected game when 14th rankedO.Mundial (1-6) lost to tenth ranked Verdirrojo (3-3) in Montevideo 89-100 on Friday. The winners were led by American forward Randy Rickards (201-2000, college: WILMU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points and 20 rebounds and the other American import guard Taalib Holloman (193, college: WILMU) supported him with 34 points (!!!). Even a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by Martin Fernandez did not help to save the game for O.Mundial . Guard Nicolas Bessio (188-2003) added 18 points and 6 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Verdirrojo moved-up to ninth place. O.Mundial lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with six games lost.
