There was a surprise result when sixth rankedMetros (4-6) beat second-best Indios (5-4) in Santiago 73-60 on Monday. Metros made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and American forward Emmitt Williams (198-1998, college: LSU, agency: BMS Sport Agency) supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Even 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by American forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) did not help to save the game for Indios . Luismal Ferreiras (200-2003, agency: BMS Sport Agency) added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Metros maintains sixth position with 4-6 record. Indios at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost.
