UndefeatedFuerza Regia (2-1) recorded its first loss in Cancun on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked El Calor (2-1) 83-70 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fuerza Regia. American forward Arinze Chidom (206-1997, college: UC Riverside) fired 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Argentinian swingman Martin Fernandez (195-1997) chipped in 21 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Four El Calor players scored in double figures. American guard Kendrick Ray (188-1994, college: KSU) produced 16 points and his fellow American import point guard Micah Speight (178-1998, college: S.Nazarene) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. El Calor moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Fuerza Regia and Astros.
