Another exciting game forFuerza Regia (3-1) which played in Cancun against 5th ranked El Calor (2-2). Seventh ranked Fuerza Regia upset home team edging them after exciting game by three points 84-81 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of El Calor. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Fuerza Regia players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American power forward Jerai Grant (203-1989, college: Clemson, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import guard Daniel Bejarano (193-1991, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists. Argentinian point guard Luciano Guerra (184-1997) responded with 24 points and American forward Arinze Chidom (206-1997, college: UC Riverside) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Four El Calor players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Santos and Dorados. El Calor at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
