A very close game took place in betweenSantos and Diablos . Second ranked Santos (3-1) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked Diablos (2-2). Santos managed to escape with a 1-point win 89-88 on Monday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was a great shooting night for Santos especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. American center Kevin Allen (211-1994, college: Emporia St., agency: BIG) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and American-Puerto Rican point guard Tjader Fernandez (178-1994) supported him with 21 points and 5 assists. Even 24 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Michael Smith (193-1995, college: CBU) did not help to save the game for Diablos . Argentinian guard Luciano Gonzalez (194-1990) added 11 points and 8 assists. Four Santos and five Diablos players scored in double figures. Diablos' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Santos have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 3-1 record behind leader Plateros, which they share with Fuerza Regia and Dorados. Loser Diablos dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
