Leones outrebounded Mets 44-27 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Kenneth Faried (203-1989, college: Morehead St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 21 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Bryon Allen (192-1992, college: GMU) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. American point guard Trey Burke (183-1992, college: Michigan) answered with 20 points and 6 assists and the former international Jaysean Paige (188-1994, college: WVU) added 22 points in the effort for Mets. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
