The game in Santa Ana was also quite interesting. Fourth rankedBatanecas (4-2) played at the court of 6th ranked LMMR 2 (2-5). Batanecas did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 76-57 on Sunday. Batanecas had a 39-28 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 24 rebounds to lead the effort and Cuban guard Maria Montero (176-1998) supported her with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Batanecas players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by Cuban Eugenia Fraguela (-1996) did not help to save the game for LMMR 2 . Liset Valdes added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Batanecas moved-up to third place, which they share with Santa Tecla 2. LMMR 2 lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost.
