This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to fifth ranked Santa Tecla 2 (5-3) 70-60 on Sunday evening. Santa Tecla 2 forced 23 Ahuachapan turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by guard Melany Sanchez (167-2004) who scored that evening 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Mariandrea Ambelis supported her with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Santa Tecla 2's coach Ernesto Lahud used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists by Cuban guard Elianis Armentero (175-2000) did not help to save the game for Ahuachapan . Cuban point guard Dairis Tornell (176-1992) added 21 points for the hosts. Santa Tecla 2 moved-up to third place, which they share with Salvadorenas 2 and Batanecas. Loser Ahuachapan still closes the standings with eight games lost.
