There was no surprise in Jinotega where 7th rankedLeones (3-9) were defeated by third ranked Brumas (9-2) 95-79 on Thursday. Brumas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Glenn Sanabria (180-1996, college: SFC) scored 25 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Goree Venable-Gonzalez (201, college: AIC) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Brumas players scored in double figures. At the losing side Puerto Rican guard Eliel Gonzalez (188-1995, college: NC A&T) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Deondre Wade (194, college: Seminole St.) scored 21 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brumas have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Leones keep the seventh position with nine games lost.
