Jaguares (9-1) recorded its first loss in Managua on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Costa Caribe (9-3) 73-68 . It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Jaguares. Costa Caribe forced 22 Jaguares turnovers. Swingman Jorge Gonzalez (198-1995) fired 17 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Puerto Rican power forward Owens Perez (206-1992) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. American Milik Yarbrough (198-1995, college: Illinois St.) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American guard Peter Martinez (177-1996, college: William Pater.) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jaguares' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains third position with 9-3 record having just two point less than leader Jaguares, which they share with UNAN de. Jaguares at the other side still keep top place with one game lost.
