San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana 2 's 30. San Salvador forced 31 Santa Ana 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 41-28 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. San Salvador players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Adriana Rivas (176-1996) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. Cuban Anisleidys Galindo (181-1989) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five San Salvador players scored in double figures. San Salvador's coach Rainel Panfet felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monica Aristondo (163-1992) answered with 29 points and 6 steals and Cibeles Miranda (175-1988) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Santa Ana 2. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for San Salvador . As mentioned above they took over a top position. Santa Ana 2 at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost.
