Liga Mayor top team -Metapan (14-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Santa Tecla 2 (7-8) 80-51 . Metapan forced 24 Santa Tecla 2 turnovers. Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and American point guard Britney Jones (174-1987, college: UAB) accounted for 24 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Costa Rican point guard Gabriela Alvarado (177-1997) came up with 9 points and 7 rebounds and Jocelyne Zambrano (169-1993) added 11 points respectively for Santa Tecla 2 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Metapan have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-1 record. Santa Tecla 2 at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost.
