UndefeatedPinheiros (14-1) recorded its first loss in Sao Paulo on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Corinthians (13-2) 83-68 . It ended at the same time the 14-game winning streak of Pinheiros. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Corinthians made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Matheus Monteiro (177-2007) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Kauan Raymundo (200-2005) chipped in 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Corinthians players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Adyel Borges (190-2002) who recorded 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Guilherme Omena (190-2004) added 18 points respectively. Pinheiros' coach Guilherme Giovannoni rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Corinthians maintains second place with 13-2 record behind leader Pinheiros. Pinheiros at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Paulistano and Flamengo.
