Regular Season Round 6: Lares - Hatillo 93-85

There was no surprise when 8th rankedHatillo (1-5) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Lares (2-5) 93-85 . Lares made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Lares especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was a good game for American guard Juicy Landrum (173-1997, college: Baylor) who led her team to a victory with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized American guard Ariel Colon (178, college: FIU) contributed with 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Lares players scored in double figures. Lares' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Adrienne Williams (180-1991, college: Illinois) replied with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and her fellow American import center Ionna McKenzie (188-1996, college: Texas Tech) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Hatillo. Despite that victory Lares went down to eighth position due to points difference. Hatillo lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with five games lost.
