Regular Season Round 6: Morovis - Carolina 61-75

The most important game in the last round took place in Morovis between third rankedMontaneras (5-3) and fourth ranked Gigantes Montaneras were defeated by Gigantes at home 75-61 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Montaneras. Carolina outrebounded Morovis 51-30 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Carolina looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Teana Muldrow (188-1995, college: WVU) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import guard Selena Lott (180-1999, college: Marquette) chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Gigantes players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Pamela Rosado (165-1986) who recorded 21 points and 6 assists and American forward Asia Strong (188-2000, college: Syracuse) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Montaneras' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gigantes have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 3-2 record. Morovis at the other side keep the third place with three games lost.
