There was no surprise in Guadalajara where 11th rankedFreseras (10-16) were defeated by second ranked Astros (19-7) 100-86 on Saturday. Astros outrebounded Freseras 39-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Freseras ' players. The best player for the winners was Dominican Rigoberto Mendoza (191-1992, agency: BMS Sport Agency) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-1992, college: Sacramento St.) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Astros players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Ty Gadsden (185-1996, college: UNCW, agency: Green Sports Management) who recorded 29 points and the other American import guard Jimond Ivey (196-1996, college: Akron) added 18 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Astros . They maintain second place with 19-7 record behind leader Fuerza Regia. Freseras lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Mineros.
