Top rankedTipitapa (11-3) recorded its third loss in Managua. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Real Esteli (9-6) 84-68 . Real Esteli outrebounded Tipitapa 48-26 including a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Real Esteli players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for American center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 19 rebounds. Her fellow American import swingman D'Asia Chambers (182-1992, college: Slippery Rock) contributed with 23 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Real Esteli players scored in double figures. The former international forward Shannen Peralta (-2003) answered with 25 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian guard Tiffany Reynolds (175, college: Lakehead) added 12 points in the effort for Tipitapa. Real Esteli maintains third place with 9-6 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Jaguares. Defending champion Tipitapa dropped to the second position with three games lost.
