Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Asuncion:Olimpia K. (#2) and Colonias (#3). Olimpia K. (12-4) smashed visiting Colonias (11-5) by 19 points 69-50 . It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Colonias. Olimpia K. dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Colonias ' 16. The winners were led by the former international forward Gabriel Peralta (203-1995) who scored that evening 19 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Rodney Mercado (191-1999) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Olimpia K.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by international center Juan Poisson (198-1998) did not help to save the game for Colonias . American forward Dwayne Russell (203-1998, college: St.Thomas, FL) added 7 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Olimpia K. maintains second position with 12-4 record having just two points less than leader San Jose. Colonias at the other side keep the third place with five games lost.
