Rather expected game in Mogi das Cruzes where 12th ranked Pinheiros (4-9) was defeated by tenth ranked Mogi (5-6) 74-68 on Tuesday. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Fulvio de-Assis (186-81) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Luis-Felipe Gruber (204-85) who added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Naturalized Portuguese forward Rafael Munford (195-98, college: Augusta) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Gabriel Campos (179-1) scored 8 points and 10 assists. Pinheiros' coach David Pelosini tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mogi moved-up to ninth place. Loser Pinheiros dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Mogi will face Caxias do Sul (#15) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
