Liga Femenina top team - Audaz (5-0) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat fifth ranked UDJ (1-4) in Quininde 41-35. Audaz forced 25 UDJ turnovers. It was a quality performance for the former international Marjorie Caicedo (180-90) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. The former international center Jessica Preciado (190-90) accounted for 5 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Center Alejandra Mogollon (183-84) came up with 6 points and 12 rebounds and Fernanda Garcia (-95) added 10 points respectively for UDJ in the defeat. UDJ's coach Raul Vilatuna rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Audaz. They maintain first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Victoria. UDJ at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Cuenca and VO4. Audaz will meet at home bottom-ranked VO4 (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. UDJ will play against Cuenca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
