An interesting game for Brazilian Sao Paulo which faced Chilean Universidad de Concepcion. Sao Paulo had an easy win 94-47. The game without a history. Sao Paulo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sao Paulo outrebounded Universidad de Concepcion 58-40 including a 45-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Universidad de Concepcion's players. Jefferson Andrade (207-83) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Gerson Santo (206-91, college: Colorado St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Sao Paulo players scored in double figures. American Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) replied with 18 points and Venezuelan center Carlos Milano (-85) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Universidad de Concepcion. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sao Paulo is looking forward to face Quimsa in Santiado del Estero in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Universidad de Concepcion will have a break next round.
