Regular Season Round 7: Espanola - Rocamora 52-72

Bottom-ranked Espanola is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to fourth ranked Rocamora (5-2) 72-52 on Saturday evening. Rocamora forced 28 Espanola turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Uruguayan power forward Sabrina Scevola (178-92) who led the winners and scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Tiziana Huici (-2) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Julia Fernandez came up with 7 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Martina Rodriguez (162-97) added 9 points respectively for Espanola in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Rocamora. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Velez and Berazategui. Espanola lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Rocamora will meet at home Corrientes (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Espanola will play against the league's leader Obras in Buenos Aires and hopes to get finally their first victory.
