Regular Season Round 11: Obras - San Lorenzo 73-87

The most interesting game of round 11 was a derby match between two teams from Argentina. The game took place in Buenos Aires where leader San Lorenzo won against host Obras (0-3) 87-73. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-73. Point guard Jose Vildoza (190-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 7 assists. Kevin Hernandez (205-91) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Fernando Zurbriggen (185-97, agency: Duran International) answered with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Lautaro Berra (208-98) added 14 points in the effort for Obras. Five San Lorenzo and four Obras players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Lorenzo have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of Group C leader. Obras at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. San Lorenzo are looking forward to face league's second-placed Vivo/Franca in Sao Paulo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Obras will have a break next round.
