Argentina
Regular Season Round 55: Boca - La Union 78-73
Date: March 16, 2021
Very predictable result in Buenos Aires where second ranked Boca Juniors (25-12) beat 7th ranked La Union (15-22) 78-73 on Tuesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Boca Juniors looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international swingman Adrian Boccia (195-82) fired 21 points for the winners. Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-94, college: Texas A&M) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Naturalized Italian swingman Federico Marin (199-82) produced 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Facundo Giorgi (203-85, college: FIU) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Boca Juniors and four La Union players scored in double figures. Boca Juniors have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 25-12 record having just two point less than leader San Lorenzo. Loser La Union keeps the seventh position with 22 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
