Regular Season Round 3: Leonas - Audaz 65-70

An interesting game for Ecuadorian Audaz (3-0) which played road game in Medellin against Colombian Leonas (0-0). Audaz managed to get a 5-point victory 70-65. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 22-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American power forward Jacinta Monroe (196-88, college: FSU, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Her fellow American import swingman Shacobia Barbee (179-94, college: Georgia) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Audaz players scored in double figures. Jenifer Munoz (170-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and center Yaneth Arias (188-82) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Leonas. Leonas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Audaz will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Leonas will play at home against Victoria and hope to get finally their first victory.
