Regular Season Round 3: Soles - Centauros 92-105

An interesting game for Centauros (6-2) which played road game in Ojinaga against Soles (4-4). Centauros managed to get a 13-point victory 105-92. Centauros dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Soles' 28. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was a great evening for the former international Gabriel Giron (192-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Joshua Ramirez (198-94, college: Dominican, CA) helped adding 20 points and 6 assists. Centauros' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Gary Ricks (185-91, college: Drake) with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import center Jarred Shaw (208-90, college: Utah St., agency: Players Group) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Centauros and four Soles players scored in double figures. Centauros will play against Toros (#3) in Nuevo Laredo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Soles will play against Dorados and hope to get back on the winning track.
