The game with biggest result difference took place in Santiago. Local CPN beat Plaza 108-101. It was a great shooting night for CPN especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Plaza was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Victor Liz (193-86, agency: BMS Sport Agency) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Naturalized American guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany, agency: BIG) contributed with 28 points for the winners. American Cameron Lard (206-97, college: Iowa St., agency: BMS Sport Agency) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Oliver Garcia (188-96) added 29 points and 6 assists in the effort for Plaza. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CPN's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Cupes.
