Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jordan Wallace (190, college: Rutgers, agency: Gamble Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Gladiana Avila (177-94) who added 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her seven free throws) during the contest. At the losing side Mayra Gil (-3) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Joselyne Padilla scored 6 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Escaramuzas will face Quetzales (#4) in Ciudad de Mexico in the next round. Marineras will play on the road against the league's second-placed Mieleras in Guanajuato and look forward to get finally their first victory.
