Not a big story in a game in Sao Paulo where 16th ranked Brasilia (5-24) was defeated by fourth ranked Paulistano (19-8) 70-66. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The winners were led by international Eduardo Sommer (205-94) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 rebounds and American-Argentinian guard Erik Thomas (195-95, college: New Orleans) supported him with 11 points and 5 assists. Paulistano's coach Regis Marrelli allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds by the former international center Caio Torres (211-87, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Brasilia.
