The game between closely ranked teams ended with Indios' home victory over Centauros 79-74 on Tuesday. Indios forced 26 Centauros turnovers. Strangely Centauros outrebounded Indios 51-35 including 36 on the defensive glass. The former international point guard Harold Cazorla (175-91, agency: Promo Sport ID) scored 20 points, 6 assists and 6 steals to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Dominican power forward Jhoyfer Diaz (200-87) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Dominican guard Kelvin Pena (193-80, college: Southeastern, agency: BMS Sport Agency) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Jose Sulbaran (190-99) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Centauros players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Indios will face Gigantes in Puerto Ordaz in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Centauros will play against Condores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
