Santiago League top team - CDP (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat fifth ranked Plaza (1-4) in Santiago 100-86. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when CDP made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Point guard Adris De Leon (180-84, college: EWU) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five CDP players scored in double figures. Naturalized Spanish forward Edward Santana (203-80) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and guard Oliver Garcia (188-96) added 26 points in the effort for Plaza. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CDP have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-0 record. Plaza at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. CDP's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena CPN.
