We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fourteenth ranked Pinheiros (7-22) won against 13th ranked Cerrado (7-21) in Brasilia 71-63 on Friday. Forward Jonas Buffat (191-0) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Danilo Sena (196-99) supported him with 22 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Pinheiros' coach David Pelosini used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by naturalized American guard Kevin Crescenzi (193-93, college: Dartmouth) did not help to save the game for Cerrado. Douglas Nunes (209-87) added 6 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Pinheiros maintains fourteenth position with 7-22 record. Cerrado lost seventh consecutive game.
